Onboarding – Know You Customer (KYC)

Banks, insurance companies and retailers are required to screen new customers during onboarding to comply with Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations and prevent onboarding high-risk individuals.

  • Use Case: A new customer applies for an account. The system instantly screens the applicant against global sanction lists and politically exposed persons (PEP) databases during onboarding.
  • Solution: If the individual is on a sanctions list or a PEP list, the system flags the account and prompts for enhanced due diligence (EDD). If cleared, the customer is onboarded; if flagged, the process stops pending further investigation.
